J-BIRD RECORDS MOURNS THE LOSS OF LEGENDARY
BASSIST JOHN ENTWISTLE
Wilton, Conn., June 28, 2002- Having worked with John Entwistle and his John Entwistle Band on the release and promotion of the 1999 CD, Left For Live, J-Bird Records would like to express its condolences to the friends, family and fans of the legend known as the Ox, who passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday.
"I had the honor of accompanying John and his band to Woodstock '99 and several memorable trips to radio stations for interviews," comments Asa L. Fish, Promotions Director for J-Bird. "This is a great loss for the music community in general and specifically for those that were close to John, like his drummer and friend Steve Luongo and Steve's wife Laurie. I feel badly for them. I am honored that I did have the opportunity to spend some time with this genuinely humble and quite humorous man."
John Entwistle was 57 years old.
